Mark Dampolo (MD)
Mark Dampolo realized his passion for the Art of Dance as a child growing up near Boston, MA.
After studying dance at a local studio, he found his niche at Sherry Gold’s Dance Unlimited in Brocton, MA. Under the direction of Sherry Gold and later her son’s Rhee and Rennie Gold, Mark studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Modern, Partnering and Choreography.
After relocating to New York City, Mark continued his education studying with some of the finest instructors in the country at Broadway Dance Center and Steps. Through Mark’s affiliation at these studios, Mark started choreographing professionally. One of his fondest productions was scene at Radio City Music Hall with Aretha Franklin. He has also choreographed as well as performed for several entertainment companies, theme parks and cruise lines.
After touring extensively in the United States, Europe and Caribbean, Mark accepted a position at Walt Disney World, Florida. Mark was a featured performer and later moved to choreography and staging.
After several years at Walt Disney World, Mark moved with his family to South Florida in 2002, where he has worked for the most highly respected dance studios. He later owned and operated his own dance school and company. His instruction and innovative technique is renowned among the professional dance circuit. His students and choreography continue to achieve numerous awards including Young Dancer of the Year, High Score Choreography, Top Teacher; etc. Mark is also requested by many prestigious dance competitions as a national adjudicator, including Dance Masters of America, Florida Dance Masters and American Dance Awards.
Mr. Dampolo is a graduate member of Dance Teachers Club of Boston. He continues to educate himself with new techniques to instruct children and adults of all ages the Art of Dance.
