Pointe class focuses on developing the strength, control, and technique needed to safely progress toward dancing en pointe. Dancers work extensively on foot and ankle strength through targeted exercises that build stability and support. Emphasis is placed on proper foot articulation—learning to smoothly transition through the toes, fully point the foot, and maintain alignment. These foundational skills help prepare the body for the demands of pointe work, ensuring that when dancers begin using pointe shoes, they can do so with strength, precision, and confidence.
